Elden Ring Equip Load Calculator
The Elden Ring Equip Load Calculator helps you determine how much Endurance you need to carry your current equipment while staying within the Light or Medium Load thresholds. Enter the total weight of your equipped weapons, armor, shields, and other equipment, then select any equip-load bonuses you are using. The calculator automatically shows the Endurance required for both Light Load and Medium Load.
How It Works
Your character’s maximum equip load increases with Endurance. The calculator compares your equipment weight against the maximum equip load available at each Endurance level.
Equip-load bonuses are applied multiplicatively. For example, if you use Great-Jar’s Arsenal (+19%) and Erdtree’s Favor +2 (+8%), the combined multiplier is:
1.19 × 1.08 = 1.2852
This means your base maximum equip load is multiplied by 1.2852.
The calculator then checks the two important load thresholds:
- Light Load: below 30% of your maximum equip load
- Medium Load: below 70% of your maximum equip load
For the calculation, the spreadsheet values use 29.9% for Light Load and 69.9% for Medium Load.
How to Use the Calculator
1. Enter your Equipment Weight.
Add up the weight of the equipment you want your character to carry. You can use the total shown on the equipment screen or calculate the combined weight of your equipped weapons, armor, and shield.
2. Select your Arsenal bonus.
Choose Arsenal Charm, Arsenal Charm +1, Great-Jar’s Arsenal, or None.
3. Select your Erdtree’s Favor bonus.
Choose Erdtree’s Favor, Erdtree’s Favor +1, Erdtree’s Favor +2, or None.
4. Click Calculate.
The calculator will show the minimum Endurance needed for both Light Load and Medium Load.
The Formulas
The basic calculation is:
Required Base Equip Load = Equipment Weight ÷ (Load Threshold × Bonus Multiplier)
For Light Load:
Equipment Weight ÷ (0.2999 × Bonus Multiplier)
For Medium Load:
Equipment Weight ÷ (0.6999 × Bonus Multiplier)
The calculator then finds the first Endurance level whose maximum equip load is equal to or greater than the required amount.
What the Results Mean
The Light Load Endurance is the minimum Endurance needed to keep your equipment below the Light Load threshold. Light Load provides the fastest movement and longest rolls.
The Medium Load Endurance is the minimum Endurance needed to stay below the Medium Load threshold. This is the standard load range for many builds and still allows normal rolling.
The calculator also shows your effective maximum equip load and how much of that capacity your equipment uses.
