How to Use the Laser Cutting Price Calculator

This calculator helps you quickly estimate the total and per-part price for your laser cutting job.
Just fill in the fields and click “Calculate” to see your results!

What each field means:

  1. Material Name
This is just for your notes (for example: Mild Steel, Aluminum, Acrylic, etc.).
It does not affect the calculation. It’s only so you know which material you entered.

  2. Material Cost ($ per sheet)
Enter the price you pay for one sheet of your chosen material.
This number is used in the calculation.

  3. Thickness (mm)
Enter how thick your material is (for your own info or your customer).
This does not affect the price in this calculator.

  4. Total Cutting Length (mm)
Add up the length of all the lines the laser will cut (in millimeters).
The longer the cut, the higher the price.

  5. Quantity
How many parts do you need? Enter any number you want.

  6. Cutting Speed (mm/min)
How fast does the laser cut your material? If you’re not sure, leave the default value.

  7. Laser Rate ($/min)
How much does it cost to run the laser per minute?
If you don’t know, you can ask your shop or use the default.

  8. Setup Fee ($)
Any extra cost for starting the job. If there is no fee, you can set this to 0.

How it works:

  • The calculator will take your numbers and estimate the material cost, laser cutting cost, and setup cost.

  • It will show you the price per part and the total price for your whole job.

  • The “Material Name” field is just for your reference and does not change the price.
Only the material cost you enter is used for calculation.
